Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer

Mike Salvino is chairman, president and chief executive officer of DXC Technology, the world's leading independent, end-to-end IT services company, with over 130,000 colleagues serving nearly 6,000 private and public-sector customers in some 70 countries from a diverse array of industries. He was appointed CEO in September 2019, has been a member of the Board of Directors since May 2019, and became chairman in July 2022.

An engineer by training, Mike has expertise in transforming businesses by building better cultures, strengthening customer relationships, and focusing on a company’s financial foundation. At DXC he has also focused on reducing debt, better managing capital allocation, and driving growth through expanded margin, earnings per share (EPS) and free cash flow (FCF). In Mike’s first three full fiscal years as CEO, from April 2020-March 2023, the company delivered consistent financial performance, including three-year total shareholder return (TSR) performance at 113.7%, far outpacing the GICS 4510 companies at 25.4% and the S&P 500 over the same time frame.

As part of Mike’s commitment to building a people-first culture, he introduced core values of Deliver, Do the right thing, Collaborate, Community, and Care, which are foundational to the company’s focus on fostering inclusivity, equitable practices, diverse employee perspectives and community stewardship. These values come to life through DXC’s 20 Employee Resource Groups, 4.7 million hours dedicated to employee training and expanded career development programs for women. In line with DXC’s values, on March 4, 2022, Mike announced DXC’s decision to exit Russia, and DXC continues to support employees in Ukraine and the surrounding area in this time of great need.

Prior to joining DXC, Mike served as managing director of Carrick Capital Partners from 2016 to 2019. At Carrick, he was directly involved in the identification, selection and post-investment growth guidance of the firm’s companies in technology-enabled services, specifically business process outsourcing, security, artificial intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML). Mike was one of the creators of Infinia ML, a Duke University spin-out that provides machine learning to Fortune 500 businesses. He served as the company’s first executive chairman from 2017 to 2019. Mike has multiple articles published on the topics of AI/ML in CEO Magazine.

Prior to his tenure at Carrick, from 2009 to 2016, Mike served as group chief executive of Accenture Operations, one of Accenture’s five businesses, where he led a team of more than 100,000 consulting and outsourcing professionals focused on providing business process outsourcing, infrastructure, security and cloud services to deliver business value, and drive productivity and digital improvements for clients in a complex global environment. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in the HR outsourcing business at Hewitt Associates Inc. and as president of the Americas Region at Exult Inc.

Mike is a board member of the Atrium Health Foundation, the largest healthcare system in the Carolinas, where he serves on the Investment Oversight Committee for both the hospital and the foundation. Mike is also a member of the Board of Visitors of the Duke University Pratt School of Engineering.

Mike graduated from Marietta College with a BS degree in industrial engineering. He later served on the Marietta College Board of Trustees, was granted an honorary doctorate degree by the College in 2021, and delivered the commencement address at the 2021 graduation ceremony.

Mike is a major contributor to the Knothole Foundation in Charlotte, North Carolina, whose mission is to increase access and opportunities for underserved youth through a focus on baseball instruction, academics support and life skills development. He also played a significant role in starting and supporting the Carolinas Bladder Cancer Research Fund, supporting innovative bladder cancer research programs at Levine Cancer Institute.
